The forum is pretty straightforward. Navigation is point and click.
RESPOND TO A POST When you respond to a post, make sure you are viewing that post and you should see a "post reply" button" at the bottom of the post.
ADDING A PICTURE TO A POST VIA UPLOAD Only 1 uploaded picture is allowed per post. Click "upload image." That button is located just below the emoticons and boardcode. Using the pop-up box to upload your image. Once complete, another box will appear with the option to paste the code into your message. Be sure not to close this box before using it to add the link into your post. Image limits are 500x500 pixels and up to 500Kb. Anything within that range is acceptable.
ADDING PICTURE TO A POST VIA LINKS There is no limit to how many pics you can have when you use boadcode and hosted images from another domain. Simply mouse over the "img" button an you'll see how to format the address.
ATTACHING A FILE DO you have a PDF, DOC, or stuffed file to share? Use the "Attach File" button and upload it. Be sure not to close the pop-up window until you have used it to add the code into your post. File uploads are limited to 1mb.
CREATING AN AVATAR Click "My Profile" located in the top section of the forum (Not under the user menu). Then click "select new avatar." Upload your own or choose a pre-made one. The limits are 70x70 pixels and 50kb.
SIGNATURES Signatures are very important time savers. You can use BB code to customize them with images and links to favorite web pages. Your signature will appear at the end of all your posts automatically saving you from having to type out the same conclusion information to every post. So instead of typing your name, web page, Mac details, and favorite quote (or whatever you put in your signatures) then you can do it just once in your profile settings. Also, any changes that you make will be updated across the board. Even old posts will be updated should you update to a different signature.
THREAD VIEW VS FLAT VIEW Flat view will show all posts and their text in chronological style. Most people prefer this view because itís easy to navigate and view a lot of information at once. Thread view will show only the post you are currently looking at and create a chronological listing of the other posts in the category at the bottom, showing only the other post's titles.
CONTACTING THE ADMIN We take violations of our board policy very seriously. If someone is creating an uncomfortable environment for others, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will resolve the situation as soon as possible.
