in photo library, selected 74 photos, clicked the "+" button, and chose to create a slideshow. The new name I entered appeared in the list on the left, and I added music easily enough, but - when I try to play the show, my screen turns black for a moment, as if a show is trying to start up, then it returns to the iPhoto app layout. I then tried to run an old show and got the same result. I then restarted iPhoto with the command and option key down, to bring up the rebuild menu. Rebuilt everything, rebooted, and same results. Couldn't find a pref (.plist) file to delete.
Any ideas? I need to crank out a few slideshow/cd's in the next few days. I could probably go back to "06, and make it happen, but - well - you know.
The Bill of Rights doesn't grant us our rights, it merely enumerates them.
Be aware that some users are stating that copying the iPhoto library to another account works for them (and some say not) but there is a thread in here about not using the Guest account since on some systems it wipes your main User home folder. Make sure it's backed up if you do.
"If it turns out that President Barack Obama can make a deal with the most intransigent, hard-line, unreasonable, totalitarian mullahs in the world but not with Republicans? Maybe he’s not the problem."
For this slide show I could not import music that was not already in a iTune library - I went into iMovie and eventually used a Apple supplied looped tune that worked great - the song I wanted to use "off" a CD , its formate was not supported
