. I can take heat or cold, it's the humidity that gets to me.
It doesn't get that cold in Massachusetts. Very, very few days go below zero. But the humidity will make that cold go right through you.
Same thing in the summer, the humidity makes the heat almost unbearable. .
It's the humidity that gets me too. I like New England because you get a few weeks of humidity in the summer but there is a cold ocean to jump into. The wet in the winter I could do without. I would rather it snow three feet than two inches of sleet followed by a week of drizzle. But that happens rarely enough.
Same reason I like southern Utah. It can be 120 but with no humidity it feels just fine. I like the differences. I like cold and lots of snow and I like it really hot. I'll take a few months of each with colorful leaves in between. (We have that now). The one flaw of New England is that spring never matches my springs that I grew up with in Indiana. March through May more often than not means a little too cold and a little too rainy around here but that is why god made the Bahamas.
