Hey Gang heard today that Blizzard is coming out with StarCraft II and Diablo III for the Mac !! Probably later this year... Game development is "heavily under way" !!

I loved Diablo I and II. My son and I used to team up (him on PC , me on Mac) and take on the Computer minions in StarCraft... he was much better than I was. But I saved his azz many times because when they counterattacked I was there. We had many a blast. amazing what simple networking did back then.

David (OFI)

Blizzard actually announced the Mac versions of StarCraft II and Diablo III at the same time as the PC versions -- Blizzard has always been good in that way, World of Warcraft -- and the expansions came out for Mac at the exact same time as their PC counterparts.

Along with the two games just mentioned before, the other games I'm eagerly awaiting (and which are supposed to come out at the same time as the PC versions) are Spore and The Sims 3 from EA games.

But to come back on the original thread topic, one of the old mac games I used to play and really miss is Escape Velocity. The original one. Not Override or Nova, which followed (and I also played.) I loved EV, especially the way you could customize it with plug-ins you could download and/or easily create yourself!

My Wii: 5721 8516 7937 9434 (PM me if you Wii)

I'm not laughing. heh. Apeiron has been listed as one of the top classic games for Mac on many many sites. We do also offer a $5 upgrade to those who had the old version and want the MacOX version.
I'm hoping that one day we can bring back Slithereens, it's just something to bang away on during lunch.

Thanks to the plug in nature of the game, EV Nova has something for you then. There is a plug-in for EV nova that allows you to play not only the original EV but EV Override. It works really well, and sort of is a 3 games in 1 idea. I'm very happy that it was made and the fans of old games can get a chance to go back and play these nostalgic titles.
Space Invaders, Dark Castle, Lode Runner and my favorite last game I played was Glider. Played Myst but my brainy wife and son would solve the whole thing way before I could play.
I can still do a fair imitation of the crows, (mock, mock, mock mock) and the Dungeon dude whacking the guy in the head, (whoaha, woahaaaooa) from Dark Castle.
On the iPhone I enjoy Blocks or whatever it is called. Slide the blocks around until you can exit stage right. And Rag Doll. First time I am almost tempted to pay fro the upgrade. But I only play them for about ten minutes a week. Games don't suck me in like Space Invaders did on the Apple IIc back in 81.

Anybody remembers the old system 7 game called "The Factory" ? looked like a kids game but very challenging where you put things together on a assembly line that gets even faster at the next level .
