I was on the phone to Apple Support trying to find out why my phone won't wake from sleep (an issue Apple has been aware of), and while we were taking details, the guy said: hey, breaking news, we've released an update 3.1.2 just 30 seconds ago, and it's supposed to fix this issue. Downloading it now... not sure what else it's supposed to address. edit here's what it says: _________________________ If it's brokenless, don't suffix it...
