Hi all,
I understand that we have some underage use on the forums. We certainly want MacTech to be place that our youth can learn and take part, but we also understand the nature of forums and that that can be both a blessing and a curse.
We've just enabled the features in the forum software to check age, but also allow for underage use with parental consent.
And, I've sent a message to our newest user that's underage so that I can speak to her parents.
Thanks eveyone for bringing this to our attention.

Yes, again to reiterate what I said in email. You are not in trouble, and you didn't do anything wrong, but I do need to talk to one of your parents about permission for you.
Relax PC... it's a safety precaution so that everyone is on the same page. In my opinion it's great idea, parents should know where their children go on the internet.
As an added plus... it would be a great way to find out if someones a Hush Puppy.
A hush puppy is a dollop of cornmeal dough dropped into hot oil and usually served on the side with chicken, shrimp or lots of other fried dishes in the south. Don't know what a Hush Puppy (with caps) is unless he is talking about the shoe. (A great chapter in the "Tipping Point" about the shoe.)

Yar! I never questioned that. I was just answering Polymerase, whom I assume was just kidding.. (about not knowing what Neuc meant by being a "HushPuppy".)
