Interesting because GOP , including Bonehead all said that Wilson was correct about the 2 amendments , are they all wrong and did not read the Bill ? or did this specific language just come out today ?
The Republican viewpoint is that since their amendments requiring people to prove their citizenship in order to obtain coverage under the public plan failed, that necessarily means illegals will be "covered" under the plan. Which is of course nonsense ...
That doesn't stop them from calling Obama liar during a televised joint session, though, when he correctly calls bullsh!t on their claims ...
Sometimes I really do wish we had Question Time in this country -- I'd love to see a President actually be able to respond directly and at the moment to stuff like this, and to either fall or stand on that exchange ...
What you don't understand or seems too - is that no one is reading the Dang Bill through its revisions ?? and they have FRont ROw Seats
How do you know this? There are those in Congress working on legislation and there are those that are purely political hacks working the lies and distortion with their constituents and the media. Every Senator and Representative has staff that researches and prepares their boss so that he/she doesn't have to read every frickin page of every draft of every bill. Senators have huge staffs, and when they serve on committees they have even larger staffs and paid consultants.
I ask this question with all honesty, how is it that you and me and most the people on this forum know more than what most GOP Representatives seem to know and you just watch CNN and surf a few websites? Or we're able to use the Google to find answers and we don't have a paid staff? Could it be that you're not in popularity contest with the media and sucking up to lobbyist with deep pockets? Because you're not being paid to have a specific opinion on an issue?
As long as the current crop of GOP worship the cult of stupidity, not reading the bill but reciting talking points in front of a camera is their method of governing. Ironic that one of their talkingpoints is "Read the bill!"
well if you're going for deviant; I often envisioned the lot of them fitted in the same dog-collar and leash get up they were so fond of defending the use of in Abu Ghraib with Condi Rice as the Dominatrix.

That's the entire problem though. Unless the centrists speak up and take over, the Republican party to the outside world is nothing more than idiots like Rush and this moron Wilson. Stand up to them, or else the party is eternally doomed.
