The "local" Apple Store here is located inside a mall and the glass front to it has glass that is, at least, 3/4" to 1" thick. That isn't going to break with a just a rock.

Hmmm... don't you think Apple knows all the serials on those units?
As soon as someone boots it and make any connection with Apple they're gonna be able to track it.

I'll bet even iTunes transmits the serial... even if we don't know it.

Well them idiots did not steal any of the re-chargers , so that alone gotta be hard to pawn off , plus no start up disc .

1 - I don't think these guys knows any of the passwords on the start up screens ?
2 - I bet the laptops batteries are pretty dang low by now and they have no chargers ?
3 - Can you activate a stolen iPhone with out a receipt ?

they were very coordinated in their thievery. i wouldn't be surprised to see them buy some power chords from various sources 1 at a time so there is no attention drawn to themselves. then, they'd probably sell each laptop 1 at a time for about $700 on craigslist in various communities away from where they stole the machines. they'll make a bundle.

Humm

Maybe they will buy the power bricks , they still lack the install CDs - I guess no matter what there will be idiots that would buy a laptop without all that stuff that comes with it out of the box laugh
