When was that incident? A half dozen years ago, give or take a year? Of those who took part, most are long gone from these boards, and the very few of us still here have long since reversed our political position and now sing in the Liberal choir. Yet you continue to harp on it as if it were the single most traumatic experience of your life.
Good grief, man. It's OVER!
The lady doth protest too much, methinks. Hamlet Act 3, scene 2, 222–230
It's history. Why would you subscribe to censoring the history of this forum? I get the same response whenever I bring up sock puppets. "Oh you bring up sock puppets as if they were the single most traumatic experience in your life!"
No, being beaten down by images of flags, nor sock puppets are close to any of the great traumas in my life. They rate right up there with diaper rash or maybe a hangnail. Why does discussing it suddenly make me a drama queen about the subject?
No, it seems that people who might be justifying their position or are wanting to not discuss painful ideas or discussions they participated in want to prohibit speaking of such things. That sucks.
If you do not learn from history you are condemned to repeat it. I would rather not repeat it. I will discuss out of control nationalistic fervor which brought on the flag bashing and I will discuss the mistrust promulgated by sock puppets any time I want.
That quote refers to YOUR protestations of innocence that only continues to involve you deeper & deeper.
LOL you give away so many "tells" when you get flustered my favorite was the fight that forced you to leave after yourCoprophiliac** Rants stunk up the Political Forum & had it Knee Deep in references to & images of human waste.
** Your pathological obsession with the disgusting and oft repeated "DOO-DOO" "KaKa" "Head up your arse smelling crap" references, that AFAIC have come to define you.
***sounds a little like early-toilet-training-trauma. ...yet another one of those issues that creates a BULLY.
It boggles the mind how some folk here interpret an opposing POV or a critical opinion as an act of STFU.
FYI, I have no interest in justifying a years old position (or the means by which I expressed it) other than to say that's where my head was at that time. Nor am I preventing anyone from discussing anything now. I should have such powers, eh? But — as you alluded to in another thread the other day — it's an opinion. Am I not allowed the same license you argued for in that thread — to express an opinion like anyone else?
Also FYI, my reference was singularly and exclusively to the flag postings. I said nothing a/b sock puppets (and I share your disdain for same). Perhaps a little reading comprehension issue there?
But by all means, discuss anything you want anywhere, any time. And from now on, I'll just cruise right past you posts without comment so you won't feel that I'm attempting to control your keyboard.
