I took your advice, blew the moths out of my wallet and got the Wireless Extenders YX510-PCS-CEL Dual-Band Cell Phone Signal Booster.
It works! I stuck the receiving antenna up in the peak of my garage after crawling up there and finding the ATT had three bars and the booster is mounted 50 feet away on the side of my shop. The other side is my front room where all the cell phones are. We ordered pizza from inside the house last night. 3 bars in my comfy chair!
I can tell it can use some fine tuning as the direction the antennas are pointing make a big difference by my iPhone only updates the bars in the top left corner every 20 seconds. I would go nuts before I tuned them perfectly.
Is there an app for that? I need an iPhone app that shows cell phone signal intensity without any lag. A jumping needle would do. The place I bought the above from wants 80 bucks for a handheld meter. Help, There must be an app for that.
Then there are all sorts of add ons I could make this thing look like the lunar module antenna but also ring up about 800 bucks. If I just had a meter I bet I could max it out.
