For about the last couple weeks, after my grand son was on my Mac, I have been getting the "Epson Print Monitor" popping up when I first open a app, any app.
Something got set that I can't figure out.
This monitor shows the ink left in a Epson printer and pops up even though I don't have my printer connected.
Very annoying.

Is there something in System Prefs > Print & Fax? The print monitor should not be showing up unless called for (on demand). Is it related to a keyboard shortcut? Something is triggering it to launch that shouldn't be.

I think it is a driver bug via Epson , which I would not be to surprised .
example;
When I turn on my HP all in one , HP print manager auto activates . Hence why I only turn on the printer when I want to print something . If I leave the printer on and then say "reboot" the iMac I would get a prompt from HP again sorta thingy
I've found that that happens because you have a file in your printing queue that hasn't been printed for some reason (lack of ink?). Just go to System Pref > Print & Fax > Open Print Queue and delete the job.
