I have to use winxp in parallels for a couple of apps I have, and I'm always struck by how ugly the interface is,...
Since I'm 'forced' to use XP on our 'attendance reporting' computer (one of the cheapest Dell desktops our budget would allow), I decided to change the looks of the interface by using Stardock's 'WindowBlinds'. Very much against the rules but the IT honcho finally agreed that it's an 'improvement'.

I think we'll see the drop in Apple even more this year unfortunately. Apple's business model was great when people were spend happy but those days are gone.
The OS is the best, but now the hardware is identical, and it's really hard for people to justify $1700 for a MacBook Pro when on the PC side you get the same or even more hardware for $800. Even more so when many if not all of those $800 lappies can be made to have OS X installed on them. Hell there's even a cheap dongle now that lets you install OS X straight off the retail DVD on certain machines.
