I don't have a fixed amount of minutes and messages in my mobile plan, but pay by the minute&SMS and have a 25MB a month data package included for email and some surfing on the Razr. With the minutes I call on my phone per month it would be just plain stupid to get a fixed package as it would never get used even close to the fullest. wink

The iPhone plans and pricings are similar here as in the UK it seems.

The plans falling close to the 450 you asked are: 51,49 €/mo
+ 79 €/8 GB or 165 €/16 GB for 250 mins/SMSs...and 89,99 €/mo
+ 1 €/8 GB or 85 €/16 GB with the magic number being 1000.

For comparison even the more pricier competing (3G) phone models there's no upfront fee if you get the phone and the plan coupled and you can tailor your plan with them mostly on every carrier.

I've been looking at the iPhone though, as a replacement for my PalmVx which basically died recently after years of trustworthiness so I'd like to get a similar PDA or smartphone with equally good text input as Palm's Graffiti is/was but nothing bulky like Blackberry or other device with Qwerty.

I could never get the hang of Palm's Graffiti , then again no one can read my hand writing on paper laugh So I cannot fault Palm for that

Personally I'll go with the iPhone , theres got to be at least 1 app out of the 50,000 that would have text input like Palm's Graffiti ? ?
