wow... 3 .. . well sadly this is not just a GOP thing....
they get hit harder because they build their messages/issues on "Family values", heterosexuality (vs. gay), and Christian moralities.... ( I haven't figured out where greed and ultra-wealth fits in the latter one.)
they also intrude more into an individual's bedroom than do the Dems, who couldn't give about what people do there.

It's the religion of wealth. They think that if they are "christian," they will be rewarded with mucho wealth by God. They disregard the "store up your treasures in heaven" and the "it is easier for a poor man to enter heaven than for a rich person to pass through the eye of the needle" passages. "Abundant life" does not mean a life of abundance. It means lots of life (life experience) which is pretty cool.
