Okay I've been following this for a few days now. Kinda cannot get away from it , well I mean the media cannot , sorta in my face no matter what channel I tuned too.

I have to side with Sarah on this one and I don't buy into the Pro-Letterman debates at all.

What he said about either of her children was way off base. Leave the politician's kids alone. His apology was lame.

Letterman was wrong, wrong, wrong. But Palin is now trying to turn this into political capitol. She is now the one exploiting her daughters for her own perceived gain by milking this dry. She is wronger, wronger, wronger.

They were lame jokes, but no one ever thought he was referring to their 14-year-old daughter until they brought it up which makes their actions creepy and disturbing instead of disingenuous. You're right, it's more about political gain instead of parental outrage. It would have been forgotten about by now if they had just kept their mouths shut.

Letterman is an obnoxious bore. He (or his) staff didn't check which daughter was at the ball game when he tried to turn it into an inappropriate joke (the result being even more inappropriate). His non-appology was typical of high profile figures today. He's still an ass and I still won't be watching him.

Palin needs to do her job and stick to governmental press releases on local TV.

She should have gone to school on how Bush squandered the global empathy and support the U.S. garnered right after 9/11. She's turning Letterman into Iraq. Say goodnight, Sarah.

Letterman was off base NO question... tasteless and if it'd been Palin herself... well she's open game, but a 14 yr. old should be passed over for sleazy jokes.

No one mentioned Willow until Palin did - I think she exploits her children. So she's not blameless either... but she also implied Letterman couldn't be trusted with her (pedophile?) after he apologized and offered them to come on the show. SO much for live & let live.

Now Letterman can be a jerk, but people won't be voting for him for office... they will Palin and they're alike in many ways if you ask me. Both can be obnoxious. We already had our fill of obnoxious Presidents... don't need another.

Palin is trying to get as much traction/mileage as she can with this. She should just STFU! It was a "joke" in poor taste, not something to go on and on about when there are more important things going on.

Unfortunately for us, most politicians try to distract with trivial issues like flag burning, gay marriage and prayer in school, hoping we won't notice they avoid dealing with the big problems.

Palin's entire political career is based on her playing the victim.

The liberal media bias, sexism, religion, attacks on her family, yada yada yada .... ( and asshat John Ziegler seems to always light the match to the stupid media's gasoline for every one of these Palin psycho-dramas)
