. I've yet to figure it out, John. I think applications have to be built for Snow Leopard in order to make use of OpenCL. Any way you look at it, it will be fanastic but how long will it be before OpenCL is being used? Maybe QuickTime and iLife will use OpenCL? . be, before, being? That's quite a sentence I used there.

My GTX 285 has arrived. It has two power cables included. I'll have it up and running tomorrow. I've got WinXP installed with Boot Camp. Get this one... I am getting 3 to 4 times better frame rates with X-Plane in Boot Camp than I am in OS X. That's with my 8800 GT card. That tells me that NVIDIA has much better drivers for Windows than they do for OS X. I am making a table of the results. I will include the GTX 285 also.

. I did it. Installed the GTX 285 video card. Installed 4GB of memory for a total of 16GB. Installed a 1TB hard drive for a total of 2,207GB.
The GTX 285 is nice and quiet at least while idling. I haven't put it through it's paces though. Doing that all that installing gets me exhausted even though I've done it a million times before. I post pictures and some bench tests tomorrow.
