I just read Jim's announced solution-- compromise- but I still don't think he gets it, which is regrettable. Nowhere does he manage to find the words which suggests his disappointment at offending anyone. It's as if someone else forced him to divisive and thoughtless, and golly, he's just doing the best he can. It's as if he's happy that we- the riff-raff- have moved on, so that serious Mac discussion can resume once again. I mean, I'm not imagining that he gladly showed most of us the door, am I?

I'm sorry, but I must be staying..
I don't believe it was any kid of a conspiracy. I figure he thought he'd found a solution and I believe he was really floored at our reactions. And he did message me to apologize. I wasn't looking for an apology, didn't expect it.

I don't like the JD bashing. He made a seriously bad move; everyone of us have made stupid decisions. The difference is, our idiot mistakes rarely affect a whole bunch of people and aren't public very often.

[color:blue]A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men. – W. Yes, I suppose if presented as a conspiracy of some sort, it's a little weak, but I still don't respect his tone. I told him I thought he owed some of you an apology and all of us some sort of recognition for his awkward decision. He said he didn't owe anyone an apology, and then here he is slipping you one under the door when no one's looking.

I just don't like it. It's talking out of both sides of his mouth. He's no Satan or anything, but I just don't pick up this 'sincere' thing others do. Something's off.

Anyhoo..

I'm sorry, but I must be staying..

I'm with you on that Lea. There can be no doubt that he made a bad move by caving to a tyrannical minority, but i will always believe that his intentions were good. I'm certainly not here because i'm trying to punish him, but only because this place seems to welcome the majority more than that other place does. I'm also here because i want to be around familiar faces, people i feel i've sort of come to know. Since so many have migrated here i simply followed suit. I don't hate it over there now, i just feel uncomfortable there because of the abrupt changes and the loss of familiarity.

Friday night, and Saturday so far at MacCentral seems like another world... It just doesn't feel right anymore.

I like it here... I feel more relaxed and free to post what, where and when I want.

[color:red]semicolon dash parenthesis
