John Rougeux Here? Registered: 11/06/08 Posts: 5031	Is it just mine or does mail tend to hog ALL resources when it's checking for mail? I have mine set to manual, so that it only checks when I open up Mail. But, if I try to do anything else (click on a mailbox, go back to my homescreen, etc) it'll take several seconds before Mail will release! And sometimes it'll take forever (well, several seconds up to a minute) displaying a mail message. Does anyone else experience this on their iPod/iPhone?

John Rougeux Here? Registered: 11/06/08 Posts: 5031	I don't think it's the connection speed as it does it when I'm connected at work or home, both of which are high speed wireless. (DSL @ work, cable @ home)

Is it IMAP or POP? Has it always been slow? Inquiring minds want to know. John Rougeux Here? Registered: 11/06/08 Posts: 5031	No, because it doesn't do it all the time. This is the 1st generation iPod Touch. I did do a reset awhile ago but can't recall if that helped things. I don't know if it's POP, Rock, or IMAP...heh I do have Gmail and my insightbb mail.
