Ok....I had converted some '.mov' and '.avi' files via 'Visual Hub' to 'mp4'. They played just fine in iTunes (and/or QT). But when I 'imported' them to the 'Touch', they wouldn't play. I overlooked the function in iTunes where I can convert them to a compatible 'm4v' version.
Ok...I had all those 'mp4' videos in iTunes already. I 'highlighted' one of them, went to 'Advanced' and chose 'Create iPhone or iPod version'. It changed the file format to 'm4v' which is compatible with the 'Touch'. Since I had quite a few of them, it took some time to convert all of them. But it works! I then had to delete all those 'mp4' duplicates manually... I think my 'mistake' was to convert them to 'mp4' in the first place... Oh well, lesson learned! ;-)

I don't want to add to the confusion, but all of my video's on my Touch are mp4 with the exception of The Hulk movie which is m4v. All the other vid's were converted YouTube clips. I'm not a big YouTube kinda guy, but i discovered early Genesis/Peter Gabriel clips AND I'M IN GENESIS HEAVEN! Being the macho kinda guy that i am *cough*, I hesitate to say this, but the best way I can describe PG at 20 years old, is "beautiful". The man is absolutely mesmerizing. I really wish someone were allowed make music like this again.
Pretty - and pretty bloody amazing - though my musical vote goes to 'Supper's Ready' from Seconds Out, which is live Phil Collins et al. For some reason, it always brings tears to my eyes... makes yer makeup run.
*edit* Now I've just watched a youTube Gabriel version - I'm sold. Actually I like 'em both, I know a lot of people hated Collins but I like his voice - he just didn't have the stage presence that Gabriel had.
