Heard in church this morning:

A man gets a new hunting dog, and finds the dog can walk on water. He can barely contain himself until the next time he and his friends go duck hunting.

They get to their usual spot and have some luck shooting. Sure enough, his dog runs out on top of the water to retrieve the birds. The guy is disappointed when no one says a word.

At the end of the day, they're driving home and he can bear it no longer. He says, "Didn't any of you guys notice anything unusual about my dog?"

After a pause, one of the guys speaks up and says, "I see your dog can't swim."
