I'm still toying with getting my iPhone before the rumored May-June release.
I have a chance to get a refurb 8GB iPhone for $99 or a 16GB iPhone for $199 from ATT via my company discount. Besides the music space is there any other significant reason to bump up to the larger 16GB model?
I'm thinking for $99 I can get two, one for me and one for my wife and not impact our wallets too much.

Space is the only difference.

I got the 16Gb Touch because I watch Tv/movies on it. Otherwise the 8GB is good enough

I was hoping that was all, just wasn't sure if the Apps take up any space.

Apps can take up a lot of space. You'll still be fine with 8 for now, but I'd want the future-proofing! For instance, if "real" GPS software arrived (with the maps pre-stored) that's got to gobble storage.

(And you may find yourself watching movies or video podcasts more than you expect. With an adapter, you can deliver movies and TV shows to a regular TV from your iPhone.)

But if it's a question of TWO phones vs. one? Take two!

That was my thought, "Two for the price of one", music wise I still have my 80GB iPod, plenty for now.

But for what it's worth, the deed is done.
