This is happening more and more often - Visual Voicemail has a message in it, but I listen to it via dialup voicemail instead (I'm usually nowhere near a wifi connexion, so VV is too slow to consider). But then I try to delete the item in VV, and then clear the Deleted Items section, and a couple of minutes later it's back in the main list again, along with an Unknown caller who rang back in January 1970. IT takes several goes - or sometimes a restart - to get rid of these items.
Anyone else getting this?

Hmmm... This the iPhone you're using? I'm not sure what WiFi has to do with VVM. I use the VVM all the time, on EDGE or 3G--it's fast, and it just uses the phone network. I can imagine some temporary sync problems could result if you're using conventional call-in and VVM both on the same messages. Are you sure you can't just use the regular Voicemail app for everything?
PS, congrats on having one of the first iPhones, in 1970
I just find that VV takes forever to download the audio unless I'm connected to wifi - it's partly because the area I live in (until next week) has very poor mobile reception, so everything is veeeery slow.
And it's not that my iPhone has been around since 1970, it's just that someone is trying to call me from there - probably to tell me not to hide the sweets from the other kids (it's a whole 8-years-old-in-Israel-guilt-thing)
