Packaging is awful. Hard to get box out of plastic enclosure. The capsule that holds the extra earbuds does not "snap" back into the packaging case. The triangle holder that contains the headphones does not have a "groove" or slot, so it is difficult to open. There is a cardboard tab that is supposed to be pulled to get to the "instruction" manual. It ripped because the cardboard fits too tight.
The sound is great, BUT there is no way to turn off the microphone, so I can actually hear my breathing! If the cord is rustled at all, the microphone amplifies the noise to the headphones. So if I keep PERFECTLY STILL, I have no complaints about sound quality, not even the bass.
I downloaded Truphone and iTalk applications, and they work as advertised. I am able to make phone calls and recordings through my iPod touch! Very cool! Still need to try out Fring and Shazzam.
I would totally love these if there were a way to turn off the microphone when not in use.
I can find no documentation anywhere online or at Apple Support.
1 out of 5 stars for being able to use a microphone, but they fail completely as headphones.
This thing sucks, and do not recommend it. Probably the first Apple product I've regretted buying.
