Boehner & Cantor claiming that their alternative stimulus plan would create 6.2 million new jobs for half the amount of HR1. Pure, unashamed BS. They had nothing, so they just made this up.

Boehner & Cantor were all over the cable shows crying how Obama and the Dems were acting totally partisan. If they make these outright lies to the American public that "their plan" is ignored and it is so much better than the legislation as written ... go to the link above and read what they actually were boasting about. FoxNews even says the GOP model was supported by Obama's team ... the GOP & Fox reporting completely lie about Romer's previous statements, in fact say exactly the opposite, to push their partisan hackery.

I really think that people like Boehner and Cantor are going to get it in the neck come the next mid-term elections. I doubt that even the most conservative folks on Main Street appreciate this kind of sour grapes and pouting when there's such important work to be done.

Colbert actually has a good idea here. It's at the 4:25 mark. Everyone who voted against the bill should refuse any of the money going into their districts.
