Pad-man, I have already reported you to Interpol...
But seriously, having lived outside the US for 12 years now, I have come to see what prudes Americans tend to be about nudity (which is why I think American movies tend to be obsessed with it, but that's another story). People are not hung up on exposed flesh at all in Japan. My son and I tend to go to the public bath once every weekend as a kind of tradition we started a few years back. Admittedly, it is sex segregated, as are most public baths/hot springs in Japan, but there are unisex baths all over rural Japan that I have used. I have seen and been seen naked by virtually every male I have come to know at all well in Japan, and by a number of the women too. No big deal. Can't figure out why I was hung up on it before. I used to think that Japan (or at least Asia) was special in this respect, but having talked to Europeans, many countries in Europe (especially Germany, or maybe I have just met more Germans?) are very liberal about nudity; again it's no big deal to them.

I have no problem with it, but, like you, I'd want it to be sensitive to the situation. It *is* a very liberating feeling to be stripped of our "suits." From a purely aesthetic point of view, I'd much prefer to see attractive people nude rather than out-of-shape old farts like me. These days, I'd be totally embarrassed to strip in public. That was not always the case, but it sure is now.
