I do agree with steve that there is to much on Obamas plate from day one . So going backwards over Bush shiit won't happen to the 2nd or 3rd quarters.
As for interrogation tactics , Obama already said he will look into the "legality" , which even if Chenny got US approval , I betcha its still illegal internationally . I don't think Oabama will shut down Gitmo because its location is ideal for a POW camp but must cost a huge chunk of change to keep running.
If we were in different circumstances, I'd say, sure, investigate and bring to court whoever should be. But I suspect that people would get really pissed if the new administration began to spend money on investigations. And there you've got politics rather than the law. I have a feeling KM would say indict and damn the political torpedoes cause the law trumps all. Well . . . maybe, maybe not.

The prisoners have been in prison for years they can afford to wait until rescue comes to the people being killed in Gaza.
If you think closing the torture prisons will turn around international opinion, what doyou think putting an end to the murders will do?
Second Up, Ease the suffering in the prisons until we can sort out who's who, and who can go to trail, and who can be released and repatriated to their own countries instead of being merely fobbed-off on yet other prisons in other countries.
Third Up Deal with War Crimes & Crimes Against Humanity.
Forth Up Rescue the Economy, and put everyone back to work.
Mr. Obama's team will undoubtedly do many things differently than the way they were done by Mr. Bush's team. He will, nevertheless, do them.
Mr. Obama's team will also, equally undoubtedly, do many things differently than what he said he would do while making campaign promises. Many elements of Mr. Bush's presidency were untenable. To add to the list with fictions serves very few people.
I agree that there are bigger priorities. Just wish there was some way to at least brand them with a we know who you are and what you did in the interim. Like, if Obama closes Gitmo, we send Bush and his trolls down there as caretakers.
I believe Lincoln waited until Maryland seceded from the union. The federal government was thus surrounded by the enemy. Even then "the Supreme Court of the United States decided that the suspension of the writ did not empower the President to try and convict citizens before military tribunals."
I would not even attempt to compare Bush's suspension of habeas corpus during this fake war on terror. He also is abusing the suspension much more than Lincoln did. Possibly because Lincoln allowed the other branches of government to function properly.
