You mean we're supposed to remember the names? Oh dear!
I doubt that the many of the names I see (most would be in the center column of the Onion example) will turn up at college level...so you're safe...for a while.
Do you watch college basketball. I see some of the names and have to laugh at the name and or the spelling.
What is with naming a kid and spelling it "Antwaine". ON the same team there is a "Germaine". So we either pronounce the last syllable rhyming with "Main" or we use "Mahn"
Just recently, North Carolina had a great player in the form of "Jawad Williams". Now what mother names her kid "ja-WAD"? I can understand wanting to name the baby an ethnic African American name and applaud her for that but don't use "Jay WAD" for goodness sake.
Actually, I would prefer "Sinutab".
