Since upgrading to 10.5.6, TM backups are triggering a MobileMe sync. I have TM set for every 12 hours and MM sync set for once a day. Now, syncs are happening at the conclusion of the TM sessions.

Just another brick in the wall. You've seen my opinion of FoibleMe. They need to come up off of a few million of their billions in cash and fix the damn thing. It's embarrassing to me as a MacTech to try and justify it to my customers. I personally don't push the product anymore. On some accounts I have recommended it to I now own the problems because I advised them to get it.

I reset sync options. We'll see what that does. I really don't care when it syncs, just so it does at least once a day. I only sync my address book and calendars and they don't change much.

The menu bar sync info is updating every time Mail.app connects (on launch) to my mac/me.com account. The pref pane is showing the once a day sync info.

Okay, I just realized, you must have some third party item controlling the schedule, right?
I'm curious if it is actually updating that often, or if it's the task is set to run by the system but never really does, only starts but stops when it hits your custom settings.

TM is backing up only every 12 hours on two computers. The pref pane still shows the hourly schedule, but TM doesn't start and then quit every hour. The MM pref pane shows the once a day sync and the menu bar icon shows a sync every time Mail.app is launched which, I assume, is the sync with MM (me/mac.com) mail. When Mail.app is open, I get my me/mac.com mail immediately (confirmation emails from retailers, etc. appear within seconds).
