In a conversation with Harris on November 11, the charges state, Blagojevich said he knew that the President-elect wanted Senate Candidate 1 for the open seat but “they’re not willing to give me anything except appreciation. [Expletive] them.” (source)
Interesting that patriots would want this to get "really good," which I'm assuming means involvement by the president-elect, at a time when the country is undergoing major crises. I don't expect that Obama will be involved. But the wish does shed a light, doesn't it.

They can keep on hoping. If you look at how Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald has been handling the case, it doesn't look at all from Chicago that President-Elect Obama is implicated in any of this. The press release even goes so far as to highlight how angry Blagojevich was at Obama for not bargaining away his former Senate seat.
Fitzgerald loves to leak information to sweat out suspect. I would be surprised if he nets anyone he has not telegraphed on yet. We've known about the federal probe of Blagojevich for more than two years now.
