I don't know if others see this as a problem or nuisance, but I find the current shade of quoted text background grey combined with the text color with the MacTech Forums Main -style sheet to be just a bit too weak in contrast to read the text easily. A grade or two lighter shade of grey and/or 100% black quoted text would probably make it easier on the eyes and provide better contrast.
Doesn't seem to bother as much with just a couple of lines and short text, but with longer paragraphs I really need to make an effort to focus on reading.

What browser are you using? Maybe I don't understand what you're saying but I don't see any problem in Safari or Firefox except for the Navigation bar at the top of the MacTech page. MacTech Network: MacTech Forums | MacForge.net | Computer Memory | etc. Neil said it's a Firefox bug, it looks okay in Safari, but since they are making major updates to the look of the web site he's not going to worry about it.

This occurs using Firefox on Windows XP and it becomes particularly bothersome in low light. Safari doesn't have this problem and I've found it to handle and render fonts exceptionally well anyway.
Actually, it is not bug per se, but I see it as a minor thing to fix in the css. At the same time it's a small FF3 bug as in how FF renders css. And something that affects readability slightly. Also it is an issue with line spacing, especially in IE7.
Firefox (WinXP):
Safari (WinXP):
IE7 (WinXP):
Yeah, those links on the top bar are barely legible also on FF, WinXP, Safari renders them fine and dandy -- as it does about every other web page. And, well, IE7, too.
