In case they run out there is the same deal today at Amazon.com but go to the Black Friday offerings. When I use the above link, it shows up as $174.00 so something is missing from that URL. Maybe one has to be a past customer?

With a lot of products, yeah, I would agree. But, in this case, I don't think that's what this is about. Microsoft's MacBU (Mac Business Unit) are real Mac heads ... and this is just their way of giving back. They did something similar last year as well for Black Friday.

We got all MS products for free when I was at LSU (don't tell anyone, but I still do!), so I immediately downloaded Office '08 when they put it up on the servers. They should have paid me for the time I wasted installing it, then trying to use it, then having to uninstall that crap and reinstall 2004.
And all I ever really wanted was Appleworks! Why can't it work on Intel?!?!

I deleted Office 2008 too. It's still on my school-owned laptop, though, cause the school wants it on there. I installed 2004 as well, and that's what I use.
