so, i am guessing that the vast majority of us use Safari or Firefox as our main browser on our Macs. i prefer Firefox and barely open Safari. there is a new browser shootout here and Firefox wins, but they do point out what they don't like about it. however, they also give high marks to Flock. i'd played with Flock in the past and thought it had potential, but i just downloaded it again and i am really liking it. it brings in everything from Firefox (or Safari is you choose that instead) and you're up and running in seconds. what sets Flock apart is that it's built for the web 2.0 and social networking user. it is far better suited for folks who use Facebook, Gmail, other online mail, MySpace, Flickr, Youtube, Digg, and most other social networking sites, etc. i have to admit, it's quite impressive. and, it didn't win the shootout, but they used the previous version of Flock and Flock is now up into 2.0 builds. might be worth checking out . . .

Do you have a link for the shootout itself? I prefer Firefox myself over anything else. Safari isn't bad, it's quick and snappy even on Windows, but with FF I like the add-ons that add a lot of value even though I do have a few gripes over Firefox so I'd like to see what they are saying about it and how much is the same stuff I've noticed.

I've been using Flock on and off for about a month now and I really like it. Every Firefox extension/add-on that I use works in Flock. And I love the start page feature. It looks good too!
