that's awesome. i wish our public transit system would get on the ball here.

one complaint about the iPhone while traveling. i left the USA on Sept 1 and an update came out about a week later. when we got to Paris, i spent time finding the right public transit application and tried to get it only to be informed that i needed the latest update on my iPhone to get any applications. so here i was thousands of miles from my computer to sync and update my iPhone and the app store was off limits and so was my ability to use the apps i needed at the moment.

If we actually had buses and street cars that ran on schedule, the iPhone app might work.

Yes if the buses and car had GPS locators on board , then you can see how late they are and adjust your time accordingly - that would be great

Nice that TO's got that. I've been using a very similar app for the Montreal Transit Corp. for a while now myself. Since I don't have a car and rely on public transit to go places, it really helps me with the time and schedules. I'm not sure ours has GPS though, so that should be a bonus on your side!
