KO and RM were all over that last night. And I could just see the veins in Poly's forehead exploding over that one. This woman needs to get to a JiffyLube in a hurry and get an oil change between her ears.

She really is a rogue.
You know that McCain never agreed to spend billions of dollars on children of special needs.

She really got lambasted for her fruit fly research comment.
Richard Wolffe, MSNBC political analyst said, "This is the most mindless, ignorant, uninformed comment that we have seen from Gov. Palin so far and there has been a lot of competition for that prize.
PZ Meyers, Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota, said, "I am appalled. This idiot woman, this blind, shortsighted ignoramus, this pretentious clod, mocks basic research and the international research community."

I know this was in the video and the links to the video but I had to put it in writing.

Associate professor Meyers must really be upset with the State of Minnesota for electing Michele Bachmann to the House of Representatives.
Bachmann is as dumb as Palin and further to the right, believe it or not.

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
Well YoYo what do you expect from someone with less mental DNA than a fruit fly.... rocket science ? No... moose pies !

geez, where does she think breakthroughs that could help her KID in the future come from? Joes' Pool Hall?

I don't think Palin will even bee on the political radar after Nov 4th!

way to go John McSame !!

seriously- thank you.. thank you.. thank you !!

David (OFI)
Well YoYo link would not even load for me still even today

Anyway we have fruit flies here to and its a big deal - assuming that what the link is about ?

Richard Wolffe <-- who is that a democrat ?

PZ Meyers, Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota, <- who is that a democrat ?

Now here a fruit fly is a huge problem because of our great year round weather condition - now compared to Minnesota yeah okay they do have a white winter - now compare Minnesota to Alaska big difference in weather so maybe the fruit fly is not a huge problem there

[color:blue]You know that McCain never agreed to spend billions of dollars on children of special needs. - Correct but this is Palins special project if she is elected which will win some votes from families "2 each" that are touch by special needs children - In contrast Obama not even touched that subject yet with a plan.

Not just my forehead, my entire head exploded. The ignorance of this woman is profound but how did that get past the speech writers? Do all of them have a 6th grade science level? Or maybe it was 4th grade I learned that drosophila, the lowly fruit fly, was one of the most important genetic models out there. E. coli, c. elagans (a worm) drosophila, mice, rats, humans. Not only autism but the list of genetic diseases we understand because of the fruitfly is long and getting longer.

There is no being fair, there is no other side of the coin, there is no explanation. This woman is a complete idiot and the thought that she may become the president of the United States is something that will keep all scientists up at night until Obama's acceptance speech.

Every time McCain brought up the grizzly bear DNA project I cringed because it is a very important population study which can be used for all sorts of animals. But this just takes the cake, "I kid you not". Is she really for real? She went to college right? How did she do that without running into a little science?
