It seems "Joe" the Plumber is going to have his life turned inside-out thanks to John McCain.

Latest reports (unconfirmed) are that there are court dockets indicating he owes a considerable amount of back taxes. There was a report that he is not even registered to vote. In today's interviews he's given widely varying figures on his income, so there's some truth-squading to be done on Joe SixPackPlumber and his concern about 'Obama's tax plan will prevent him from buying a business'.

There is a widely printed quote from his interview on Sunday where he compares Barack Obama to tap dancing Sammy Davis Jr. ruh roh! Keep on talking it up Joe!

The depth of the comedic episode keeps expanding:

"Turns out that Joe Wurzelbacher from the Toledo event is a close relative of Robert Wurzelbacher of Milford, Ohio. Who’s Robert Wurzelbacher? Only Charles Keating’s son-in-law and the former senior vice president of American Continental, the parent company of the infamous Lincoln Savings and Loan. The now retired elder Wurzelbacher is also a major contributor to Republican causes giving well over $10,000 in the last few years." link

>> No. He's been going after McCain's political record and his positions on the issues. He has not once disparaged McCain the man. McCain on the other hand has ducked the issues in favor of character attacks. >>

Not that I'm arguing for the man, but didn't a few of Obama's ads take shots at McCain's "erratic" nature? I thought they may have come shortly after the last debate, but I could have been thinking of a speech that Obama made instead.

Anyway, I could feel myself getting physically getting angry with the Ayers stuff last night. McCain repeated at least twice that the American people "wanted answers" about his relationship with the 'domestic terrorist' Bill Ayer, and even *immediately* after Obama explained his relationship, McCain said this:

In reply to:

MCCAIN: And it's not the fact -- it's not the fact that Senator Obama chooses to associate with a guy who in 2001 said that he wished he had have bombed more, and he had a long association with him. It's the fact that all the -- all of the details need to be known about Senator Obama's relationship with them and with ACORN and the American people will make a judgment.

And my campaign is about getting this economy back on track, about creating jobs, about a brighter future for America. And that's what my campaign is about and I'm not going to raise taxes the way Senator Obama wants to raise taxes in a tough economy. And that's really what this campaign is going to be about.

Um, didn't Obama just TELL you all the details of his relationship with Bill Ayers? I know he might not have seen the half dozen interviews Barack did with the media explaining the subject, but he JUST TOLD YOU TO YOUR FACE.

[color:red]Work With ____!
Right Pete - I too seen those John the erratic ads

Anyway going after McCain's political record and his positions on the issues Obama is trying to show Johns poor judgement or lack of it , this does show character

The Ayres thing to me is not an issue a moot point. However unless CNN fact finding team is wrong or Obama made a big fat lie about launching his political career from Ayres living room ? Anyway I don't care.

And McCain wonders why people are shouting 'kill him' and 'terrorist' at his rallies.

I LOVED that Obama brought it up last night. McCain couldn't even look at him.

Not that he looked Obama in the eye at any *other* point in the night.

[color:red]Work With ____!
http://www.toledoblade.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20081016/NEWS09/810160418

The rightwing's new posterboy seems to be a complete hack, liar and fraud (sound familiar)

He's an unlicesed plumber, a republican yet unregistered voter, tax evader with his last recorded income of $40K. He engaged Sen. Obama on Sunday for a 6-minute public discussion where he claimed he was buying the plumbing business (that employs him, info that is news to the company's owners) and said that Obama's tax plan would stop him cold. He's told several different versions of the story to different interviewers, in one he claimed to have a $400K Plumbing business.

He was lying to Obama while the camera's were rolling. McCain's campaign liked what they saw and decided that Joe needed to become part of the national dialog on presidential economic policy. McCain vetted this jerk with the same level of competency as they vetted Palin.
