I just got my credit card bill for the last month, and checking it over, I saw that there were two charges, both on 9/9, for 100 bucks each, at iTMS. Now I did not buy two hundred bucks worth of music at iTMS on 9/9, and my account history at iTMS shows that I didn't. I've just sent a message off to the iTMS support. We'll see what they say.

[color:red] [color:orange] [color:yellow] [color:green] [color:blue] [color:purple]

I certainly hope you've called your credit card issuer, too. If you file a dispute, they'll issue you a provisional credit until the problem is corrected.

Lat month I got a couple phishing emails -- one asking me to *cough* update my account information for me.com and the other telling me there was a problem with my credit card payment for my "recent iTMS purchase" (which was oh... like, eight months ago!). Riiiiiiiiiiiiight.

You need to check Debit Cards too - I have been double tapped a number of times , 43.90 and 43.90 same store same day just a minute apart - I just call my bank and they take care of it.

What I think happens is at the store register clerk + modem lag time.
You swipe card -> enter code - > approve -> transaction in progress , in progress , in progress <-- nothing happens Clerk then says to swipe card again , you swipe again and go through the process , meanwhile the first one went through in the background

IMO

Wouldn't hurt to call the credit card company, if you haven't already. Especially since it isn't showing up on your iTMS account, but it is showing up on your credit card bill. Someone else might be using your credit card number on their iTMS account.

Same thing happened to me several months ago. FIVE!!! $100 iT gift certificates had been charged to my AX card. A quick call to AX got the charges eliminated. It seems that even in a situation like this, there is no live person to talk to at the iTunes store. Don't know how the scoundrels did this, but I too am now ever vigilant with those CC statements.

In reply to:

I check my accounts every couple of days on line.

Your credit card account every couple of days? You do know if you find an error within a couple of months they will fix it with not very many questions asked? (Like, is the charge yours? No? OK, we will remove it.) Why waste your time on doing stuff that is not necessary?
