Well both sides made donations to Acorn voter registration efforts , so it just not Obama , McCain gave some cash too.

Acorn says its the government attempt to block disenfranchised voters <- wtf ?

Simply
Acorn needs to at least double check its registrations , before dropping them off to somebody else lap

Did you know that ACORN reviews the applications they collect and remove and flag the apparently fraudulent ones before giving them to the state election officials?

"For Immediate Release: October 7, 2008
ACORN Statement from Bertha Lewis, Interim Chief Organizer, on Incident in Las Vegas:

"Over the past year, ACORN has worked hard to help over 80,000 people in Clark County register to vote. As part of our nonpartisan voter registration program, we have [to] review all the applications submitted by our canvassers. When we have identified suspicious applications, we have separated them out and flagged them for election officials. We have zero tolerance for fraudulent registrations. We immediately dismiss employees we suspect of submitting fraudulent registrations.

For the past 10 months, any time ACORN has identified a potentially fraudulent application, we turn that application in to election officials separately and offer to provide election officials with the information they would need to pursue an investigation or prosecution of the individual.

Election officials routinely ignored this information and failed to act. In early July, ACORN asked to meet with election officials to express our concerns that they were not acting on information ACORN had presented to them. ACORN met with Clark County elections officials and a representative of the Secretary of State on July 17th. ACORN pleaded with them to take our concerns about fraudulent applications seriously. One week later, elections officials asked us to provide them with a second copy of what we had previously provided to them. ACORN responded by giving election officials copies of 46 "problem application packages," which involved 33 former canvassers."

The faux outrage seems to be about the election officials authenticating these applications already flagged by ACORN, and as suspected, they are bogus.

ACORN is required by law to submit all applications in their possession. They are also required by law to review and flag and problems for the state election board to review, but ACORN does not authenicate them.

Likely scenario: LimbaughHannityRove-inspired dittoheads deliver boxes of applications to an ACORN office, ACORN follows the law and flagged them and submit them to the election office. FoxNews goes crazy reporting voter fraud, discredits all national democratic voter registration gains.

ACORN surely has some bad leftists feeding them bogus applications too. But the rightwing media pushing this and the sudden influx of ACORN flagged bogus forms just smells rotten.

These were not flag by Acorn at all , they just dropped off a big stack - Now if they were flag there would be no issues Right

Most of them were easy fakes to catch - The Jimmy John one the only way to catch that one you have to drive to the address to find out its a sandwich shop not a person

Just dropped off in a big sack unchecked? But ACORN is required by law and the State Election office is required by law to submit in a specific way ... why would the the election office accept them dropped off unchecked in a big sack?

I've seen the one's on TV that are ridiclulously bogus. I saw the report on Jimmy John and others. Cartoon characters names, etc.

ACORN has been under the media's eye specially since the GOP convention attacks (highlighted by Romney & Guilliani & Palin) on community organizers.

Previously is was 40-50 flagged applications. Now it's sacks of 1000's of bogus applications. How is it now unchecked sacks of bogus applications get dropped off in swing states, unlike the legal proceedures that have previously been followed, and ACORN and Obama gets instantly blamed by the howling rightwing? Still smells rotten.

Yep just a big stack of 5,000 unchecked and not flag - Thats why their in the news now - IMO its a Acorn lower management screw up , somebody dropped the football . I don't see anything really sinister about it and theres no "masked men" running copy machines either

McCain gave money too must be a small dollar amount , just that Obama gave 800,000 so kinda puts the spot light more on him then McCain . Acorn does support Obama for election and more so he was former attorney for Acorn - So of-course the GOP is gonna try and make something out of that

In reply to:

GOP is gonna try and make something out of that

Like blaming ACORN for the Wall Street meltdown, "stealing" the election, and an organized conspiracy to overthrown the United States government. You can bet there'll be more.
