Sarah Palin will not cooperate with a legislative investigation into the firing of her public safety commissioner, the McCain-Palin presidential campaign announced Monday, accusing supporters of rival Barack Obama of manipulating the inquiry for political motivations.

Palin aide says investigation has been "hijacked" by "Obama operatives."

Will this come back to bite McCain and Palin in the butt?

Well, in this case I agree with Sarah...
I have no problem with her declaring Executive Privilege...
and appointing her own investigative commission when she's good & ready.

[color:white]. . . .

[color:white].

Well

There is a point on both sides - After all the two top people heading the investigation admitted they are staunch supporters of Obama and hinted on an October big surprise <-- I can see Palin thinking that they already made up their minds and the investigation is not going to be fair and yes sorta, headed by Obama , not him in person but by his supporters.

the other side says the investigation was on way before she was chosen for VP and that they being Obama supporters does not matter <-- well dumb shiits now it does . Just get someone else to lead the investigation who is impartial , simply as that

I agree - should be an impartial prosecutor .. though few are - Look at Ken Starr - that sure didn't stop the righties spending $60 million for nutin !!

One point is they must have credible evidence... not the weak argument like McCains "Lip stick on a pig " outrage. That was 100% contrived.

SO can they produce it... beyond a shadow of doubt - direct testamony ? eye whitnesses ? if they can- doesn't matter Who brings it forward.

David (OFI)

With the subpoenas being ignored which delays anything until after the General Election, wouldn't it be advantageous for the McCain/Palin campaign and the Republican Party to have this issue resolved before November if Gov. Palin has nothing to hide? Stalling and stonewalling amounts to an admission of guilt these days.

It's no longer a criminal investigation, it's become a political agenda.
The Republicans call it partisan politics. Not sure where they come up with that one...there are 8 Republicans and 4 Democrats on the probe committee.
The Democrats accuse the Republics of stonewalling.
