Maybe it's just a fluke for my Bears, but they were looking good tonight. I don't wish pain and suffering on anyone, but maybe if Payton Manning is as out of sorts for most of the season as he was tonight, we won't be tortured with his mug selling every stupid thing from consumer credit cards to wireless phone service.

He's welcome to do as many ads as he wants for Indianapolis area car dealerships though.

-- Cee Bee Double-U
My nephew's little-league team could beat the crap outta Houston!

The Browns were being chosen by most "experts" as the break-out team of the year. They looked like a complete bust to me. Then, the Cardinals break a decade-long trend of pulling their pants down around their ankles in the season opener. They actually beat the 49ers.

College FB this weekend was just weird. All the games I watched ended up being "barely won" by the teams that were HUGE favorites. Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Florida, Arizona State. Looks like it's gonna be one of "those" years.

I'm not a big fan of college football, but boy do I love watching Michigan lose at home. They pick on those little private schools for the first few games before they play other teams in the Big Ten and invite them to the big house with a bribery of greater revenue... and lately have been losing despite their home field advantage. I love that.

The Bears look like they are going to be fun to watch this year. They have a compelling running back with Forte, which they really need if Kyle Orton is going to be at the helm this season.

-- Cee Bee Double-U
