people are misdirected to go after Palin in the manner seen here (e.g., McCain just wanting to sleep with her, etc.). this should be entirely about McCain and his poor decision making. i think you make a huge mistake to use lines like "stewardess" when referring to Palin. that only serves to endear her to some people. be careful.

--
[color:red] Kansas Jayhawks -- 2008 National Champions
s'truth...

...but on the other hand
it's difficult to escape how pinheaded it is
for anyone to appoint his GF as PotUS " 'cause she's HOT!' "

[color:green]"...or am I a butterfly that's dreaming she's a woman?"
"stewardess" that was Bill's words ... NOT mine... I was quoting him.

And I agree that was shallow... but thought she's no stewardess... she's not even close to Barack or Biden.... or even Hillary...

Hillary would smoke her on experience and talent in a heartbeat. THAT's the message.. and McSame has made a "cheap" stupid error in judgement.

... and we're suppose to trust this same judgement on more critical issues like National Security, Iraq, Afghanistan, healthcase, immigration ....

and we're to believe McSame believes "Country First" when this choice is NOT in the best interest of the country but is a "political" choice !

I think they're going to get beat over the head on this VP choice.
And if Palin makes some gaffe ,,, they'll go down faster than the Hindenburg!

David (OFI)
McSame? I prefer McCaincent HAHHAHAHAH

Aside from the Barackopolis and the 90,000 screaming fans, Obama's speech was a throwback to Walter Mondale. The only thing missing from the convention were the "Reagan Lied" signs.

I heard on the news that she did ask what does a VP do. Which Bill are you referring to?

Too many lives they've spent across the ocean. Too much money been spent upon the moon. Bill Maher... I watch him every time he's on HBO... so funny.

His New Rules this week was chastising the DNC for not allowing Edwards to speak. Sure he committed adultry (and a kid) but Edwards has been the main voice for the poor as Gore has been for the environment. They should have kept him ON the agenda.

He pointed out some of our BEST Presidents had affairs... Jefferson, Roosevelt, Eisenhower, JFK... and they served with distinction... in contrast which President would NEVER have an affair....
that's right GW !! Point Proven !!
Presidential leadership has no connection to "extramarital affairs". It's a "boogy man" the religious-fundamentalist right dreamed up !!

David (OFI)
I like the way you lot keep painting this domesday scenario about Palin taking over if something goes 'wrong'... the biggest problem is McCain himself so any alternative to him could only be a good thing... although I could be wrong.

km

" . . . although I could be wrong"

Right, and next you'll tell us pigs can fly.

[color:white]xx[color:blue]I always deserve it. Really.

Well, to be honest I couldn't help but thinking, maybe McCain wasn't thinking just politically. Maybe he was feeling his own mortality and wanted to pluck somebody he had a gut feeling about out of obscurity and into a possible heartbeat from the presidency; ala Yeltsin and Putin.

We are STILL what we repeatedly do. -Aristotle

In reply to:

Right, and next you'll tell us pigs can fly.

Well I was wrong once before... back at the other place I said that Blair was a warmonger over Iraq but DLC argued that anyone in his mental condition couldn't be considered blameworthy, and I concede that point... but apart from that I've always been right.

km
