Okay, I also know he was a community agitator and served as a US Senator for a 173 days. And that is doubtful too. Since by his own admission if he were to run for prez he would have to start before his US Senate role even began. I am having a hard time finding legislation that he put forth or even voted on. Other than being present in the Illinios senate and making a 2002 speech opposing the Iraq war. That just about does it for his experience. Platitudes aside he is a great veep but far from a Presidential contender.

Biden said bad things about Obama as well. that got play for about a week in McCain commercials. same would have happened with Romney, no doubt. but Romney has shown he can raise money like crazy. and Romney would help McCain wholesale on economic issues and nobody would question that. Huckabee earned millions of votes and finished second to McCain in the primaries. Huckabee is great on Larry King Live and seems quite likable. he also shares most of the same social conservative positions as Palin.

i'd love to see how this plays out next week, but i think i am away from American television all of next week and into later October. ah well. i should find the internet here and there so perhaps i'll check in. cheers!

--
[color:red] Kansas Jayhawks -- 2008 National Champions
i was here after Kerry lost. i was probably very depressed, but i was around i think. i remember predicting Kerry to win, so that was wrong. i was quite involved here in Michigan in 2004. and he did win Michigan. this time i am largely just giving money. but Bush never trailed Kerry in the 2004 NBC/WSJ polls. ever. Obama has been leading in the same poll this time around. today solidified things for me. even if Obama wins, i will probably scale back bunches here just because this place isn't as fun outside of election seasons. i barely posted much of 2007, fwiw.

--
[color:red] Kansas Jayhawks -- 2008 National Champions

I found four bills out of 129 sponsored by Obama agreed to by the Senate.

One was to...To require the Director of Mathematics, Science, and Engineering Education to establish a program to recruit and provide mentors for women and underrepresented minorities who are interested in careers in mathematics, science, and engineering.

Another was to...To expand the pipeline of individuals entering the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields to support United States innovation and competitiveness.

A third...To establish summer term education programs.

And finally...To improve the safety and efficacy of genetic tests.

And as far as his voting record...there are so many NV's that I stopped counting. And where I did see him vote Y it was so weak that he made no connection to any message.

I love you man, but this brother is an empty suit.

Even if he is an empty suit, I would have taken a sack of potatoes over 8 years of what Bush had to offer. Honestly. An empty office would have been preferable.

We are STILL what we repeatedly do. -Aristotle
