I started a paragraph about why I don't think Palin is the fatal error you refer to, Pastafarian (thought it was friendlier than "spaghetti man", sorry about that one), but I deleted it because I thought it would be easier to ask you to elucidate (in bullet points or whatever) why she is such a bad choice. Now, admittedly by doing so, you are inviting criticism of all your points from more than one direction, and if you don't want to open that wicket for whatever reason, I understand. Just a thought.

We are STILL what we repeatedly do. -Aristotle

Actually I am quite happy with the distance between McCain and President Bush. Having GW appear on Labor Day at the convention means fewer people will see him. Hopefully he will appear at 4 am so the rest of the nation is asleep.

Obama was sitting in the United States Senate for years before Palin was governor. prior to being governor, she was in some position that was appointed that nobody has ever heard of. and prior to that she was a mayor of a town smaller than 10,000 people.

her state budget is ANNUALLY about what Obama manages every week or 2 (11 million dollars). her state has hundreds of thousands of fewer people than the Grand Rapids, MI metro area where i live.

she hasn't been vetted by the media as they all scrambled to tell viewers more about her today.

she is going to be a heartbeat away from being president and that president will be the oldest president we've ever had in a first term . . . and a guy who has had serious health issues.

she has zero foreign policy experience. she has virtually no opinion about Iraq.

a month ago, she was on Larry Kudlow of CNBC's "Kudlow & Co." and he asked her about the possibility of becoming McCain's ticket mate.
In reply to:

Palin replied: "As for that VP talk all the time, I'll tell you, I still can't answer that question until somebody answers for me what is it exactly that the VP does every day? Other than Rev. Wright, Tony Rezko or William Ayers we know little about Obama too.

edit. maybe that's all we need to know.

Edited by mojo_jojo on 08/29/08 05:30 PM (server time).

If, after all this time -- the runup to the primaries, the primaries themselves, post-primary and convention -- you still think "we know little about Obama", then sorry to say, but you simply haven't been paying any attention ...

Turn up the signal, wipe out the noise ...
