darn it! i saw him here in grand rapids to a packed arena and we had no concert. i now feel robbed. i do cut him some slack because that was the night he unexpectedly brought out John Edwards who endorsed Obama . . . but i wanted a concert like everyone else, it seems.

--
[color:red] Kansas Jayhawks -- 2008 National Champions

In reply to:

Having seen my Mother and others have to go that route I find your constant put downs of our senior citizens and disabled people rude and disrespectful.

Oh please give me a break. My mother just died after wearing Depends for the past eight years. My siblings and I would make Depends jokes all the time and sometimes my mother would even laugh at them. As for the DentuCreme I guess I am just a mean person for pointing out that McCain had a brautwurst stuck in his the last time I saw him speak and his handlers should have flossed him.

But back to the Depends. You should check yours as you might be cinching them on a little too tight. Or possibly you just have a load on which is where this post came from.

I am old and senior citizen! I poke fun at us all the time.

As an old senior citizen, I am happy to be one compared to -- DEAD!

Just hope I continue to get older and more senior and have fun poking fun at US! Laughter IS the best medicine. . .

My siblings and I would make Depends jokes all the time and sometimes my mother would even laugh at them.

Yes, we did too. She made jokes herself about them. But like you I'm sure we didn't equate it to being stupid or unable to reason, as you are in your references here and in other posts.

My question is what does age or physical condition have to do with one's knowledge or the ability to lead?

The whole last part of your initial post referred to age and physical appearance of an individual as qualifications.

No, I will not be saying something like "what about Bush ..." because Bush and McCain cannot come close to this. McCain would have to give out free samples of Depends and Dentucreme to draw a crowd of 200 to a free concert and the walkers all lined up trying to get through the metal detector would be a Kodak moment for the campaign.

I'm trying to think of who would sing at a John McCain concert but I am stumped. I was thinking maybe he could dig up Frank Sinatra and reanimate him and thus Frank would be unable to upstage McCain but even Frank wouldn't work. Sinatra was a Democrat. After watching Bush the elder driving around in a golf cart with McCain and Bush looking 20 years younger McCain has a problem in this area.

This was your argument/debate?

The "problem area" I perceive is a prejudice to looks equating ability, which you use as the basis of your arguments. Like someone else mentioned, if you were "joking" using race as a basis for qualifications there would be an uproar here. Guess one must pick and choose the prejudices for the environment one is in.

Have a great day, I'm heading outside for the day.

------>#1 - JD's Trivia game

------>#2 - MM-MCF Trivia game
Using it in his arguments he's saying because you look old you're stupid and unqualified. If someone said that to your face you'd swing your cane at him, and probably leave a mark.

My point to him is it's a lame argument he consistently uses.

------>#1 - JD's Trivia game

------>#2 - MM-MCF Trivia game

All of my slurs are pointed directly at the doddering old fool who is John McCain who can't even wipe the sausage grease off his face before he gets on camera to pick at his teeth to get the rest of the sausage out. And he is acting like he has a fully loaded Depends when he sits there wallowing in his misery about all the media coverage that Obama is getting. The dude is pathetic.

How old do you have to be to wear a Depends? Don't know the answer to that one. John acts like he has been wearing them his whole life. Wasn't he on an SNL skit twenty years ago wearing a "Honey I crapped My Pants"? I'm sure it was him.

Do I want a President who acts like he should be in a nursing home? I do not think it agist to say, no, I do not. A President's job is a lot of acting. Acting Presidential. He isn't acting Presidential. He is acting like he should go retire and sit on the front porch. It is mostly what is coming out of his mouth beside the brautwurst. He is acting mean, petty, and spiteful.

Woot! German reggae artist Patrice has given Obama a bounce in the Gallop poll today! It was 2 points, now it's 9.

Obama's going to need some really big stars to compete with John McCain, shown here with a crowd of 80,000 that came to see him.

In reply to:

They normally play 1000 seat venues .... who knew?! Now they're bigger than the Stones!

Speaking of the Stones, Rolling Stone gives The Decemberist 4.5 out of 5 stars. Not bad for a local band.

The Oregonian put it this way:

Obama was the biggest star at Sunday's gathering -- though a popular Portland band, The Decemberists, provided the warmup act. With blue skies and temperatures in the 80s, many in the crowd said Waterfront Park was simply the place to be.

The free concert by this popular band was not reported by liberal media. To them, the great mass of the unwashed only gathered for fishes-n-loaves night hosted by Jesus Christ Obama.

***************

nuttin'
