His elitism and holier than thou attitude may come back to bite him with the electorate. I found this earlier today from Good Morning America's Jake Tapper.....

On Thursday's "Good Morning America," political correspondent Jake Tapper jabbed at Obama's overconfidence, describing the senator's July 24 speech in Berlin as "one the Obama campaign is billing at almost presidential. Even though he is not the president."

Reporting from inside the Obama plane, Tapper complained in a snarky tone, "Inside, the plane has been redesigned to separate the senator and his staff from us lowly reporters." He added that Obama officials told journalists that they could brief reporters as anonymous officials. Tapper grumbled, "One of them said that's what we did at the White House during the Clinton years. We pointed out they don't work at the White House."
Regarding the Obama plane, the ABC journalist also pointed out: "The American flag on the tail wing has been replaced by an enormous Obama O."

I saw the speech and he said he didn't come as a President or a candidate but as a citizen of the US and World- how much more CLEAR can one be ?

The reporter are trying to MAKE the story instead of Report the Story.

that's much more humble than "the Decider " !!

David (OFI)
an op-ed writer is hardly a "reporter."

as for your first post . . . i've never heard of Tapper. i thought Obama was supposed to have the varsity team of reporters?

--
[color:red] Kansas Jayhawks -- 2008 National Champions

In reply to:

Barack Obama and the press break up.

Jeez, one of their drinking buddies got married and can't hang out in the bar with them as much as he used too. To paraphrase many of the comments to the article, "boo f@#kin' hoo."

Jake Tapper's serious reporting:

"one the Obama campaign is billing at almost presidential. Even though he is not the president." Where is the Obama campaign doing this? They're not. Tapper is pulling it out of his bunghole.

"... inside the Obama plane,... enormous Obama O."
He's complaining that the plane has an area where Obanma & his staff can work away from the press? He was invited onto the plane to travel at the campaign's expense and he feels slighted because he can't sit with Obama?

"One of them said that's what we did at the White House during the Clinton years. We pointed out they don't work at the White House. and " Complaing that the plane has the campaign logo" ... wow, he's a pretty sensitive guy to be so easily offended.

Tapper earlier in the primary was quick on the flag pin issue, Obama the elitist issue ... ABC should be embarassed.

I was thinking about the plane's new paintjob ... It fits in better with the campaign's overall graphic identity than the old paint job of the North American Airlines livery (probably a main reason for the redo) ... although it also occurs to me that if this is the aircraft that flew the entire tour, probably the last thing you want when flying into Bagram or Baghdad is a huge US flag painted on the tail ;-) (But in reality, I imagine he used military transport for those legs =) ...

Turn up the signal, wipe out the noise ...
