M$ may be selling themselves short and corporate deployment of Vista isn't going to happen very soon. Those companies who have fully deployed XP will stick to that since it works for them. How long did folks cling to 95? Maybe in six years, Vista will have come of age.

I caught this on the tailend of NPR this morning. Came back home and went into their site and listened to the complete story. They had a guy from PC mag on giving the low down. Gave a hit to Mac OS also. Interesting.

dave

Well Gates mind was on retiring and sorta turned the MS Show that back end of the Donkey over to Monkey Boy who was supposed to take the head end of the Asss. Poor PC folks ended up with a double assed donkey, one in the front and one in the rear called "Vista"

Seems to me that; MS

1 - Consumer level - > Eat Donkey shiit and like it but there are different taste = versions

2 - Pro enterprise - > Upgrade XP -via- SP's service packs until it looks like "Vista" - The idea behind this is that it will give MS the extra 5 years to get it right,, while slowly weening enterprise consumers along the way.
