Looks like Barry Hussein is up by 15 points. Bob Dole McCain is far, far behind. Then again, John Kerry was pretty far ahead around this time, as I recall.

If you think gas prices are high, wait until you see Obama's tax rates!

Kerry never held a lead over Bush in the WSJ/NBC poll. Obama is up in that poll.

regarding this specific Newsweek poll:
In reply to:

For now, however, Obama is running much stronger in the race than his two most recent Democratic predecessors , Senator John Kerry and vice-president Al Gore, who both failed in their bids to win the White House. In a July 2004 Newsweek poll, Kerry led Bush by only 6 points (51% to 45%). In June 2000, Gore was in a dead heat with George W Bush (45% to 45%) which is essentially where he ended up when that razor-thin election was finally decided.

i can't wait to see Obama's tax rates since he's saying no new taxes for folks making under $250 and folks making under $75,000 will see tax cuts.

http://www.ontheissues.org/Economic/Barack_Obama_Tax_Reform.htm

--
[color:red] Kansas Jayhawks -- 2008 National Champions

In reply to:

Hold onto your wallet

China already has hold of our wallet. Our children's wallet too.

I'm hopeful that rather than continuing to spend $12 Billion a month on the war there will be better ways found to spend on our security, infrastructure, education, SS, the debt, and heathcare that will all have an accumulative effect to help our economy. With Obama as president you'll just have to show us a bit of that rugged individualism if you're making more than $250K a year.

In reply to:

wait until you see Obama's tax rates!

Are you claiming he's hiding something from us? wow what a revolutionary message, Bryan...

FUD.... fear... fear ...fear...

I don't make $250 K so I'm not worried.
CNN did a comparison and those from about $75K down would get a nice tax break... I think at 66K they get a $1200 reduction in taxes.

In contrast , McCain (aka Bush III) won't change anything... oh those tax cuts for the top 2% really worked for the average Joe didn't they ! ...shipped our jobs overseas anyway.

so your message is just caca !!

so is the fear about the price of gas...

you need to get a more credible message.

Your (and Matt's) defense and support of Bush really turned out well didn't it... all those WMDs were really really there - weren't they....

sorry your credability is lower than Rodney Dangerfield's.

nothing personal- just the Facts !

David (OFI)
