He is a good example of someone who has changed his mind. He voted for Bush twice and now thinks the Iraq war was wrong and that McCain is not worthy of his vote. How did that happen? Did he possibly get convinced by what he read? Could it even have been something he read here?

The point I apparently didn't make very well last night ~ neither Republicans nor Democrats can take the high road when it comes to complaining about dirty politics, but both Republicans and Democrats will whine and point accusing fingers at each other. Ad nauseum.

I wasn't talking about individuals and their ability to make up, change or lose their minds. Lord knows I've made up, changed and/or lost my mind on numerous occasions.

[color:white]xx[color:blue]I always deserve it.
In reply to:

Swifboating is as Swiftboating does.

Since we know swifboating works I agree, the Dems need to swiftboat better than the Repubicans. This video needs to be played as well as videos of Cindy McCain saying, "I've always been proud of America" then have her be asked why she stole drugs from her own charity when she was a drug addict. She needs to be asked why she did not go to jail or why her explanations and those of her husband's do not make any sense. That John did not know she was a drug addict until 2004 although she did rehab time back in 2001?

If Cindy is going to swiftboat Michelle the Cindy is fair game. Compared to Michelle she is a dead duck.

In reply to:

the Dems need to swiftboat better than the Repubicans.

Ah but you have to look at the experience involved, since it seems that the most experienced Dem swiftboater was John Kerry and according to the professional swiftboaters his entire military career was a sham - how are the Dems going to do it better? They obviously need a professional. Maybe they should try something else? Like carpet bombing?!

I used to think it was terrible that life was unfair. It was a combination of all the bad press/news of Bush and reading in our old MacCentral Forum. In that forum there were maybe only a couple of people that were supporting Bush. It was overwhelming. Then after listening to all of the candidates in debates, all the democrats want to end the war and the most convincing of all was republican Ron Paul. Paul said many things about the war but to me the most convincing and simple was "republicans are supposed to be conservatives, what's conservative about starting wars from not being provoked".

Too many lives they've spent across the ocean.
