Yes, and that particular protester was 81 at the time. Those folks tend to tell the truth. Besides, I still can't find it defined in amendment #1 that free speech is only allowed in certain areas, far away from view. If Bush's ego is so fragile that he cannot see or hear dissent, then he shouldn't be president of the local bridge club.

You just have to consider the visciousness of the "context" when you're 1) running against a party of lying fascists (i.e., the "republicans," of course) 2) in a country where there are PLENTY of stupid, gullible people. Look at how the fascists used Willie Horton and the pledge of allegiance against Dukakis. Look at how they dug up Paula Jones against Clinton. Look at how they swiftboated Kerry, for crying out loud.

And 70% of Americans still believed there were WMDs for over a year AFTER the claims were discredited; a significant percentage still think Saddam was behind 9/11.

What in hell can you do when you have to deal with tens of millions of hicks who vote and you're running against a party that has the ethics of Karl Rove?

Would you please tell us how you'd solve THAT tiny little problem? Seriously, PLEASE! Tell us!

Now that the republicans are aware of this possibility, they'll probably recruit (or, failing that, disguise) women in muslim garb to appear at every Obama rally so that they can create attack ads for the backwoods folks to look at, and continue with their base fraud and trickery.

Come on Matt! That was a post that cut to the bone of the matter. Yet you have conveniently ignored it. You you have anything to say in response? Anything at all?

Come on! It's your F-ing thread! Dissect the issue!

Or don't you really care?

Uh, huh.

Edited by Jashue on 06/20/08 08:45 AM (server time).
