Iraq PM: Security deal talks at 'dead end'

In reply to:

AMMAN, Jordan - Iraq's prime minister said Friday that talks with the U.S. on a long-term security agreement between the two nations have reached a dead end, saying the U.S. proposals "violate Iraqi sovereignty."

Iraqi opposition to the deal has mainly focused on concerns that the agreement would cement American military, political and economic domination of Iraq.

Did somebody say, "100 years?"

[color:blue]"Failure to strike the security deal soon would leave the future of the American military presence in Iraq to the next administration. Al-Maliki's stance increased doubts the deal could be struck before the upcoming U.S. presidential election."

[color:blue][/b]Hodie mihi. Cras tibi.[/b]
Iraqi opposition to the deal has mainly focused on concerns that the agreement would cement American military, political and economic domination of Iraq.

So, we are worried about others dominating Iraq but, it's ok for us to dominate them?

Well we did make an Air Force base as big as Rhode Island so we can protect our embassy which will be as big as Monaco when it's done. Did Iraq think we were going to give this stuff back? I think they have this absurd notion they are not a puppet government of the US.

Actually, "The Plan" is moving along nicely, thank you very much.

President Obama, Vice President Franken and the 82% Democratic party majority in Congress inherit the Gordian Knot (crafted so expertly by BushCo) that is Iraq. No matter what they do (cut and run, stay and fight, stay and not fight), a tremendous backlash by the US voters sweeps President Gingrich and Vice President Reed into office in 2012 and gives the GOP a 92% majority in Congress.

BRILLIANT!!

Olberman last night said that part of the US plan was to establish 58 bases with US troops stationed throughout Iraq. That sort of boggles the mind. Why not just declare Iraq the 51st state?

Oh, wait . . . that would extend constitutional protection to all those people.

God forbid.

[color:red] [color:orange] [color:yellow] [color:green] [color:blue] [color:purple]
