Long legged yellow dog in low light no flash:

It's a yellow room but the walls are the same color. One of the walls freaks out in the low light. (I also pushed the highlights a tad in iPhoto which could have done that.) But the room was pretty dark. The ISO might have gone up to 800.

star wars night at the local minor league game last night (they sold way over 1,000 of these light sabers):

so i had a chance to test out the fireworks setting (not bad, but i was behind home plate so there was a net between us and the fireworks):

--
[color:red] Kansas Jayhawks -- 2008 National Champions
Road trip today dropping off the daughter at camp up in New Hampshire then we were house hunting stop off on the way back. I snapped photo about a mile from a house we are looking at. Should be able to guess the town.

About 25 years ago visited Halibut Point when my brother lived up there and rented a couple of summers. Thought it was one of the most beautiful places on earth. Looking a t avery peculiar house in between the quarry at Halibut and Rockport.

That water is 300 feet deep at least and cleaner than anything you get out of a bottle.

that is pretty country. i'd love to have a place that has a little bit of character and isn't in a typical neighborhood. while i love being close to the city and getting downtown in 15 minutes, i also would love to have a place to escape to and enjoy some quiet and privacy where i could sleep in and just enjoy my family. that's my ideal escape home. maybe after Europe we'll save for that instead of more upgrades on our house.

--
[color:red] Kansas Jayhawks -- 2008 National Champions

The deed is done. Purchase and sale signed today. I'm poor but happy. I just dug my wetsuit out of storage as well as some ancient windsurfers. The one I will be using I bought in 1980. If you were to look up the history, windsurfing was invented the year before. At least I do not have wooden booms.

I know I would not be following the Lumix thread if I posted a photo of me windsurfing naked in Woods Hole Harbor. I would have to scan it in.

This is about 75 yards from my new front door. Fortunately there are a couple of houses to protect me from the noreaster which can blow into this cove. Straight out is north east and north west where the storms really wind up around here. The building inspector sounded like he was checking out a boat.

Cape Ann and Rockport is granite, granite, and more granite. The Statue of Liberty pedestal was carved out of rock from around the corner. Lower end of Broadway in New York was cobbled by stones from a quarry, now a deep swimming hole a mile away. I look at my crawl space beneath the house and it is "sill upon ledge". Which translates into the sill of the house is sitting on granite blocks cut from the ledge that is also part of the basement and part of the foundation.

There is a sandy beach a half mile away but fishing for blues and stripers off these rocks is way more fun than swimming at a beach.
